10 New Android Phones Of The Week- The Focus Is Now On Mid-Rangers.

Many top brand are now turning their attentions to mid-ranger smartphones, we saw some brands like Infinix and Tecno launch some quite affordable mid-range phones, Some other brands like HTC and Oukitel are not also left out as well. Without much talk, below is the top ten new phones for the week, read, share and leave a comment, real people always have an opinion.

1. Tecno L8

No surprise the L8 model from tecno is coming first in our list today, thanks to the 5,050 mAh battery smartphone with a considerable price tag. The phones rocks a 5.5 inches display with an OKAY resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, its 16GB internal storage space can be further expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.

The Tecno L8 mobile phone is powered by a 1.3GHZ Quad-core Processor, 1GB RAM is there to make sure the device handles your multitasking seamlessly.

The Tecno L8 ships with an 8MP rear camera with its 2MP front camera designed for video calls and selfies. The rear shutter can capture up to 3264 x 2448-pixel pictures.

2. Oukitel K6000 Pro

The K6000 pro is not really a mid-range smartphone when you consider its monster specs, it was launched as an upgrade of the initial Oukitel K6000 with lots of improvements in some areas like Screen resolution, RAM and it also features a fingerprint scanner which is absent in the K6000.

The K6000 pro cramsa 5.5 inches full HD screen having a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed with some additional features to further enhance user experience.

3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage are onboard for the user, the 64 bits octa-core processor clocks at the speed of 1.3GHz.

This phone also sports a fingerprint scanner below the rear-facing camera, and a 6,000mAh battery is included on the inside, same as in the Oukitel K6000. 3. Infinix Hot 3 X554 (Play hot)

Coming as a beta version of the Hot 2, the Infinix Hot 3 rocks a huge 5.5-inch display, compared to the 5-inch unit found on the Infinix Hot 2, The screen has a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixel.

This new phablet is endowed with a combination of 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for image capturing, the back camera uses an OV8865 sensor.

The Infinix Hot 3 is equipped with a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, which gets support from either 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM. Onboard storage capacity is 16 GB, expandable by up to 32 GB with external storage media. The phablet boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS coated with a XUI skin said to have been optimised to deliver long standby time.

4. HTC One S9

This week HTC raised some eyebrows with its reluctance to let go of the One series. It unveiled the HTC One S9, which is decidedly less exciting than it sounds.

It’s essentially a mid-range phone in a One M9 body. Yes, the stereo speakers are back on the front, but the rest are a bit of a disappointment after the big promise of the HTC 10.

The phone has a 5 inches screen with an HD resolution of  108o by 1920 pixel, a Helio X10 chipset is on board with 2GB RAM. There is a 13MP back camera, a measly 9.24GB left from the 16GB storage. The fingerprint reader has gone missing too. At this point, the One A9 is so much better.

5. Oukitel C3

The Oukitel C3 is a design focused android mid-ranger that is set to hit the market with android 6.0 marshmallow pre-installed, it is only available for pre-order for now which will be starting from 5th may with an incredibly low price tag of $39.99 for limited copies, read more details on that HERE.

Looking deeper into the spec sheet, it gets 5inch HD display with AUO brand screen and 1280*720 resolution, MT6580 quad-core chip set, you get 1GB RAM + 8GB ROM that is expandable to up to 32GB with a memory card, 8MP rear camera is also available in this device with 2000mAh battery that is touted to last longer by its makers.

As far as we know, C3 is not only a pretty meaningful device, but also a colorful one including 5 colors: light blue, dark blue, rose gold, black, and white.

6. Tecno W4

The tecno W4 rocks a 5.0-inch display, the resolution of the full-laminate display remains at HD (720 x 1280 pixels), with 294 PPI (Pixel per square inch)

This new W4 offers a combo of 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for image capturing.

The Tecno W4 is equipped with a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, which gets support from 1 GB of RAM. On board storage capacity is 16 GB, expandable by up to 128 GB with external storage media. The W4 boots Android 6.0 marshmallow OS and it is the first tecno smartphone to run the android 6.0 marshmallow.

7. Meizu M3

 

The Meizu m3 is on the opposite end of the price scale – a highly affordable $92, NGN19,000 in the Nigerian currency. You get plenty for it – a 5″ 720p screen, an octa-core processor with 2GB or 3GB RAM, 13MP camera and a selection of lively color options.

The m3 already scored 4.5 million registration (it took just 24 hours). Granted, registrations are not the same as pre-orders, but it’s enough to show higher interest compared to the Meizu Pro 6 (which scored 3 million registrations).

8. ZTE Blade L5 Plus

The ZTE Blade L5 Plus. At the equivalent of $85 which is around NGN17,000, it offers Android 5.1 Lollipop on a 5.0 inches screen with a resolution of 720p by 1280p, it uses a quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. There is an 8MP camera at the back.

9. Huawei Honor 5C

The Huawei Honor 5C was announced Friday and has a lot in common with the still-unofficial P9 lite. With a 5.2″ 1080p screen, a Kirin 650 chipset, a 13MP main camera and a fingerprint reader, this phone is ready to give the likes of HTC a run for its money.

And it has a metal body at just $140, around NGN28,000 in the Nigerian currency, you will have to pay slightly more if you want the 4G version.

10. Huawei y5II (2)

The huawei Y5II crams in a 5.0-inch IPS display with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels – still decent for a 5.0 incher.

The huaweiY5II is better-equipped for shot-taking, the main camera has been bumped to 8 megapixels and it features LED flash and autofocus. The selfie snapper has also received a 2 megapixel camera.

The smartphone offers integrated capacity of 8 GB, which is expected to be expandable by up to 32 GB using a microSD card.

With a quad-core MediaTek MT6753 processor under the hood, the Huawei Y5II looks ready to deliver enjoyable performance for a low mid-range smartphone. The processor is clocked at 1.3 GHz. It is paired a Mali-T720 graphics solution and RAM of 1GB capacity.

Running on Android 5.1 lollipop, the device uses a custom Emotion UI 3.1 Lite as expected.
