We have talked about it for days and leaked it for months. To crown all that anticipation, Xiaomi has launched the Black Shark gaming smartphone today under the umbrella of its latest acquisition with the same name. The device shows a lot of cutting-edge technology that is the first in its field, making every word said about it as important as any.
Some of the standout features of this device is a new cooling technology to keep the phone from overheating during core gaming exercises. Shipping with the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset under the hood, a massive 4000mAh battery is in there to ensure users can get the most of the smartphone between charges.
Looking at the spec sheet, this device comes with 5.99-inch screen developed with the latest 18:9 aspect ratio technology under which is the Snapdragon 845 chipset. The phone is also equipped with a top shelf coolant (multistage integrated liquid cooling) to effectively bring the temperature of the innards down by 8 degrees Celsius at any time.
The downside to this phone is that it does not have a microSD card slot. That means users will have to contend with either the 6GB/64GB version or go for the bigger 8GB/128GB model. Although it has one speaker grill, the audio port acts as another. The mic was also designed to function for voice calls and in-game chat without messing with the overall gameplay.
On the back, there is a 12MP camera with dual LED flash, rounded up by the 20MP sensor on the front for selfie uses. Available for preorder in China already, we don’t know when it will launch internationally yet. As soon as it does though, we will be the first to let you know. Don’t change the dial.
