Blackberry Krypton has only been a thing of rumor and speculations and it seems it will remain that way as new leak suggests that Blackberry Motion will be launched in place of Krypton.
An alleged image of the purported Blackberry Motion was recently published by the popular leakster – @evleaks via his twitter account, indicating that we should say goodbye to Blackberry Krypton.
A home button with Blackberry logo can be seen from the image, while there are no side bezels on the device, the bottom bezel looks uncomfortably big and outdated.
Loud speaker openings can be spotted at the bottom border that also harbors the USB port and audio jack. The home will likely be embedded with fingerprint scanner, volume adjusters and power button are seen at the right border with another utility button.
Overall design on the alleged Blackberry Motion looks sturdy and quite impressive except for the large bottom and top bezels that seems to be taking us back in time. Spec-wise, we are only certain the device will run on Android OS but the particular version is yet to unraveled, likely to the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.
Remember the Blackberry Krypton was expected to arrive in October but nothing else has been heard as regards to the device. With the likes of Blackberry DTEK50 already in Blackberry’s lineup, the company seems to focused on bringing more consumer-focused phones to the Android market as well.
BlackBerry has exited the smartphone market and now sells software to governments and corporations. Additionally, it’s also licensing its brand to TCL Communication, which now owns the rights to make, market, and sell smartphones with Blackberry branding and logo.
