Android 7.0 Nougat Update Released for Infinix Note 3 and Note 3 Pro

Finally, the long awaited Android 7.0 Nougat has been released for Infinix Note 3 and Infinix Note 3 Pro.

The update is available over-the-air (OTA).

Here are what you get after the upgrade:

  • Updated system version from Android M to Android N.
  • Supported split screen of apps.
  • Brand new pull-down shortcuts toggle which makes operation convenient and fast.
  • Slide left and right in Magazine lockscreen interface to change wallpapers.
  • Added new functions to fingerprint recognition: quick start apps, stop alarm clocks, and call recorder shortcut.
  • Added scrollshot.
  • Brand new music.
  • Added suggestions in settings; added display size adjustment in display and brightness.
  • Added safe mode in shutdown options when long pressing the power key.

Optimized Functions:

  • Optimized the interaction of fingerprint recognition.
  • Optimized the push method of Xtheme.
  • Optimized the display of file sending status, the select-all operation interface, and the interface sliding fluency in Xshare.
  • Optimized the multiport login synchronization function of XAccount.
  • Optimized the status display of trash searching process in HiManager.
  • Optimized the trash cleaning database.
  • Optimized the functional framework of User center, the layout and the image-text post edition in XClub.
  • Optimized the move modes of desktop icons.
  • Optimized the opening time of apps menus.
  • Optimized the display time of Contacts name on Dialer.
  • Optimized the time of adding contacts.
  • Optimized the display speed of navigation bar. 
  • Optimized the unfolding and closing speed of pull-down menu.
  • Optimized the response time of MagicMovie.
  • Optimized the memory usage of FM.

Some caution to take while upgrading:

  1. If you device is rooted, do not attempt this upgrade over the air as this may crash your device.
  2. Plug in charger to before performing the upgrade if power is less than 30%.
