As we reported a few days back, the Gionee M7 was finally launched yesterday (25th September). It came with 18:9 ratio screen that measures 6.01 inches, the list of Android phones with Infinity display (edge-to-edge) is rapidly growing, we saw some brands like Oukitel announce there upcoming phones with Infinity display.
Won’t be surprising if Tecno or Infinix announces one too but that aside, Gionee M7 happens to be the first smartphone to enter the market with the recently announced Helio P30 chipset from Mediatek.
Gionee M7 Key Specifications
The device comes running on Android 7.1 Nougat with Amigo 5.0 skin on top, the 6.01 inches screen has a display resolution of 2160 by 1080 leaving it with 402 PPI.
Gionee M7 uses an Oct-core Cortex A53 CPU that clocks with the speed of 2.3 GHz, 6GB RAM is on board. Internal storage space sees a 64GB ROM. The device supports micro SD card of up to 256 GB for more storage space.
Phones with dual rear cameras are common this days, the Gionee M7 is one of them. It combines a 16 megapixel and 8 megapixel camaras at the back, the back cameras has a single LED flash to enhance image quality in low-light conditions.
The front panel hosts an 8 megapixels selfie camera without a LED flash.
The M7 from Gionee has no home button due to its large display size, the fingerprint is located at the back below the camera region. 4,000 mAh battery is packed inside for extended phones usage.
Gionee M7 Price and Availability
Gionee M7 is lauched with a price tag of 422 USD (about 154,000 naira) and will be available first in China for CNY2,799 starting from 26th September. There are five colors to choose from which includes: Sapphire Blue, Star Blue, Maple Red, Champagne Gold and Black. You can read full specifications of the Gionee M7 here.
