Google might be finding it harder to name the Android Q (obviously!)

Ever since the first rollout of Android from Google, they have made a decision to name their OS versions after desserts, and that has worked wonders. They also make sure to go alphabetically so that there won’t be a problem in choosing the next name.

Starting from Cupcake, Google has gone on to drop Donut, Eclairs, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jellybean and KitKat on us.

For the last three in that list, Google lingered on the number 4 and perhaps had their tightest OS in the KitKat 4.4. They even went so far as partnering up with a brand to promote the Android OS name – something they would only do once again with the Android 8 Oreo.

Speaking of Oreo, Google pushed forward from KitKat with names such as Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo and of course, Pie. Now that the company has stepped onto the letter ‘Q’, they might be having a hard case on their hands.

Frankly speaking, Q is a hard letter to deal with.

Of course, they have to find not only a dessert with this letter, but one that goes with the company’s image too. After releasing the third beta version, it is time to unveil the name of what will be the OS’s flagbearer for the coming year. We don’t know what they are going for, but we bet it will be interesting.

If you were to put your money on any dessert, which would it be? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments.
