For those who are using the Google Gboard on their phones, you can check your Play Store to see if you have received the update notification too. Trust us, we wouldn’t be telling you about this update if we didn’t think it held some major improvements, and it sure does.
One of the biggest features of this one is the support for Emoji 12.0, but there is a catch: your phone has to be running on Android Q for you to access the new emojis. Speaking of the new emojis, we have some pets (falafel, a service dog, etc), some profession specific picks (stethoscope and blood drops for those in the healthcare industry) and much more.
Besides that, this update also allows you delete your search history with a long press, while it brings vertical scrolling to the majority who had not been able to use this feature earlier. Beyond all that, the Gboard navigation bar will now assume the same theme which you have given to the keyboard itself. This might not be huge for you, but it improves the overall visual appeal of the software nonetheless.
If you are interested in having all of these, as well as some performance and stability improvements, head over to the Play Store and get things going right away.
