Huawei held the launch event for its Nova 3 devices today and there, made an announcement that is sure to get other phone manufacturers scrambling. As of the time of writing, Huawei has been able to ship off no les than 100 million units of their smartphones across all ranges.
This is not the first time that the company will reach such a figure but it is surely the first time they will do so in record time.
By comparison, they hit the 100 million mark on December 22 of the year 2015 and October 14 in the year 2016. However, we are only at the second half of the year and they have such figures to report already. According to the head of products department, Richard Yu, he does hope his company can break that limit this year and get a 200 million sale returns.
While that will take a lot of work, Huawei does have the merchandise to make that happen on ground. For example, they have the devices in the P20 series (P20, P20 Lite and P20 Pro) doing so well, they have sold more than 6 million of those so far. Combine that with the success still being recorded by Mate 20 and you have a winner in all lines of phone making.
This was not the story for this brand some five years ago. Now that they are here, it is sure that they will be looking forward to more growth and expansion in the nearest future.
