The Huawei MatePad Pro recently found its way onto the rumor mill. One easily noticeable physical feature is the fact that it looks like an iPad Pro in design. Rumors aside, the device is now on official record as it has passed 3C certification with two models.
We expect the Huawei MatePad Pro to succeed the Huawei MediaPad M6 or MediaPad M7 in the future. The two models – MRX-W09 and MRX-W19 – may be the 4G and WiFi versions of the device.
According to the 3C certification listing, the Huawei MatePad Pro will support 40W fast charging. Usually, this is only seen on Huawei’s top-of-the-line products.
The Huawei MatePad Pro may come with the Kirin 990 chipset. This may be coupled with 8GB of RAM. It will not be surprising if it comes with a 2k display like we see in the MediaPad M6.
Overall, from the leaked renders of the MatePad Pro, we see a device with quite thin-bezels. On the display is a punch-hole which many people have said they found unnecessary. It also comes with a USB Type-C port. The device will come with an M-Pen stylus.
One of the big questions now is if the Huawei MatePad Pro will support Google Mobile Services. It is only a matter of time before we confirm that. We know that it will be available in a number of shades including White, Blue, Green, and Orange.
