When the Huawei Y7 Prime launched last year, it was to much love from the market. However, Huawei went back and made some improvements and then came back with Huawei Y7 Prime (2018) for this year.
It is in this unit that they improved upon the bezel-less technology very much, put some good RAM into the smartphone and finished that off with a decent battery. For those that know the little cousin of this unit, how about we look at just how much the Y7 Prime family has changed in just a year?

Huawei Y7 Prime (2018) Features Overview
If one were to be looking for a beautiful screen, the 5.99-inch glass surface on the front of the Huawei Y7 Prime (2018) is an answer to that question. Developed with IPS LCD technology, the screen takes up more than 76% of the total front surface, comes with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and works that to some 269 pixels per inches.
We should also mention at this point that Huawei brought the 18:9 aspect ratio on board with this smartphone.
Moving away from the screen, the design on the back is also worth talking about. The use of metal on the back makes this one of the premium offerings in the midrange section for this year.
On that metal are several cut-outs. One of them is for the dual camera setup. The main 13MP sensor will be responsible for image capturing while the lesser 2MP sensor will work for depth, highlight and other improvements to make the picture come out better. Finally, we have a fingerprint sensor for added security.
Of course, we have a LED flash to accompany these cameras so that they are useful in low light too. While we would have loved that on the front too, an 8MP standalone selfie snapper is just as pleasing.
Taking a dive under the hood, we find out that the device comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset which is married to an Adreno 505 GPU. With Android 8.0 Oreo at the heart of affairs, a 3GB RAM CPU is there to ensure your processes never lag.
When it comes to saving files, Huawei hopes the 32GB internal storage space will be just apt. Unfortunately, there is no mention of microSD card support in the spec sheet.
If you are willing to overlook that then you should know that a 3000mAh battery is under the hood. Of course, you won’t be able to remove this which is better in many ways. For the interested, the Huawei Y7 Prime (2018) will be available in colour options of Black, Gold and Blue.
