Huawei Y9 2019 Launched With 6.5-Inch Notched Display

Huawei Y9 (2019)

Huawei is not a company known to be silent about its smartphone launches. However, the company seems to have gone a different route with the launch of the Y9 2019. This device has been launched silently and is expected to be available by the middle of October 2018. It is simply the 2019 version of the Huawei Y9 (2018). As regards the hardware specifications of the device, it looks very much like the Enjoy 9 Plus which was leaked by tipster Evan Blass a few days ago. What is not yet clear now is whether it is the same phone with different names for different markets.

The images of the Huawei Y9 2019 shared by the company show that the device will come in as many as three color variants. This is similar to what is obtained on some of Huawei’s other phones like the P20 Pro. Also, like the P20 Pro, the Huawei Y9 2018 has a notch on the front. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Talking about the display, the Huawei Y9 2019 comes with a massive 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340. It is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 710 processor and runs on the EMUI 8.2 software. Sitting on the rear is a 16MP+2MP dual-camera setup while a 13MP+2MP dual-camera setup sits on the front for selfie lovers. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.

According to Huawei, the Y9 2019 is a phone for the young generation.

Meanwhile, Huawei is preparing to launch the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro on October 16. October 2018 is an exciting month for smartphone lovers as we are also expecting a number of launches from other smartphone giants in the month.
