Back in the day, users of many entry-level and budget devices do not get software upgrades on time. Some do not even get certain software updates and security patches at all. The humble hardware specs and the level of Android experience also contributed to this, making a mess of entry-level phones.
Now, things have changed. This is expected, of course, considering the fact that hardware has generally become sleeker and Android experience has become better, even on entry-level phones.
This update journey is still far from perfect, considering the fact that many devices out there still do not receive regular updates. But on the bright side, they receive updates to a good point. It is hoped that update cycles will become prompt in the coming weeks and months.
Infinix devices are not left out in the update cycles, and the Hot S3X is not an exception. This device has many of the beautiful features of 2018 budget phones. It sports a notch and has a tall display. It also has a dual camera setup and face unlock. The 6.2-inch display is also a good thing for lovers of big display.
This device has just received a new software update. This update – version X622-QL1818BCDE-O-180831V46 – is 573MB in size. According to the changelog, it features the following:
- Updated Google GSM Package.
- Improved stability of GSM apps.
- Fixed issue of some applications.
- Optimized system stability and performance.
In addition to these, the Hot S3X also received the September security update from Google (September 5).
To update your Infinix Hot S3X to the latest security version, simply go to your phone settings, search for new updates, and click the “Update” button.
Nice one… no room for errors
