Infinix is gearing up to launch its latest flagship in the Zero series, the Infinix Zero 40 5G, set to succeed last year’s Zero 30 5G. The new device is slated for August 29 unveiling and expected to come packed with notable upgrades, particularly in processing power and design. The Zero 40 5G will feature a sleek redesign, with particular attention given to the back camera module, providing a fresh aesthetic that sets it apart from its predecessor.
The Zero 40 5G sports a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, identical in size to the Zero 30 5G but with enhanced performance.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset, an upgrade from the Dimensity 8020 in the previous model. The device will come with 12GB of RAM, plus an additional 12GB of virtual RAM, alongside 256GB of storage. Its battery capacity remains at 5,000 mAh, but it now supports 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The camera setup on the Zero 40 5G is another area of improvement, featuring a 50MP front camera optimized for vlogging and a triple rear camera system consisting of a 108MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP auxiliary sensor. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps, with AI-powered tools for vlogging.
Running on Android 14 with XOS 14, the Infinix Zero 40 5G promises three years of security updates for it’s users. Additional features include an in-screen fingerprint sensor, an infrared blaster, an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, and a premium leather finish.
