At the Lenovo launch party that held yesterday, the OEM was able to release its S5 flagship. Beyond that though, they also gave the budget market special considerations in the Lenovo K5 and K5 Lite offerings. Even though they don’t use the same alphabets, the K5 and K5 Lite are to be seen as the watered-down variant of the bigger S5.
Starting with the K5, we are amazed to still get an 18:9 aspect ratio on the same 5.72 inches screen as the S5. Producing HD+ resolution is a combination of factor such as 720 x 1440 pixels and a 2.5D glass body. Under the hood is an MTK 6750 chipset instead of the Qualcomm offering on the bigger brother.
Moving on, the K5 is also offered in models which differ by their internal memory configurations. One of them supports 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM while the other takes 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM. Surprisingly, there is yet another that promises a massive 4GB RAM on an internal storage space of 64GB.
The similarities this unit shares with the flagship goes on to include Android 8 Oreo software and a 3000mAh battery.
Taking a break and going to the Lite version, we still have configurations such as the 5.7-inch screen with HD technology. Under the hood, Lenovo reaches out to Qualcomm again as they make use of an SD 430 SoC. The same device will feature a dual rear camera setup with sensors at 13MP and 2MP. Finally, the smallest brother will pack the biggest battery at 3030mAh capacity.
