It has been confirmed that the OnePlus 6T will be launched soon. As usual, there have been a number of leaks about the device. Some of those leaks confirmed that the device will sport a ‘waterdrop’ notch on the display. OnePlus also already confirmed that the OnePlus 6T will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Now, we have seen leaks of some 3D renders of the phone, leaving nothing much to get us surprised anymore.
These 3D renders confirm the details already leaked before. There are only slight changes from the OnePlus 6 on the OnePlus 6T. The two devices generally have the same footprint. Also, instead of a bigger notch, the OnePlus 6T will feature a notch in the ‘waterdrop’ style as first seen in Oppo and Vivo smartphones recently. The small notch means more room on the display.
The in-display fingerprint sensor is not seen in the 3D sensors. However, since there is no rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, we can easily assume that the OnePlus 6T will indeed feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. In addition, the 3D renders of the OnePlus 6T show the device to be a bit thicker than the OnePlus 6. Also notable is the absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack on the new device.
We also have an idea of the battery capacity of the OnePlus 6T, thanks to another leak from Weibo. At 3,700mAh, this would make it the largest battery ever fitted in a OnePlus device. It is a welcome development, as it means that users would get additional stamina from the device.
The information here is gotten from leaks and renders. This means that it is not yet official. The OnePlus 6T is expected to launch in October, and then we can actually confirm all the leaked details. All we can do right now is wait.
