Before now, vivo already had an S1 Pro device. But yesterday, the company released a new vivo S1 Pro device. This has raised some questions among smartphone enthusiasts, especially since there is no concrete similarity between the two devices.
In fact, considering the back cover design of the new vivo S1 Pro, it looks more like the recently-launched vivo S5. So, is it safe to call the new vivo S1 Pro a vivo S5 Lite? Maybe. But the fact remains that the new device looks more like the vivo S5 than the older vivo S1 Pro.
The new vivo S1 Pro comes with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution. This display has a waterdrop notch that houses the phone’s 32MP front camera. The phone also has an under-screen fingerprint sensor for easy access.
On the back of this device sits a quad-camera setup in a diamond formation, similar to the vivo S5. The main camera is a 48MP shooter. It is supported by an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, an 8MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, this new device uses the Snapdragon 665 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs Funtouch OS 9.2 (based on Android 9).
The new vivo S1 Pro (or is it a global vivo S5 Lite?) is powered by a 4,500mAh battery and supports 18W charging. It comes with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.
