A new Xiaomi phone with 5G support has just passed 3C certification. Even though the name of the device has not been revealed, we have reason to believe it could be a Redmi K30 series device.
Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, already said that the Redmi K30 smartphone would be launched in December. Jun disclosed this during the Xiaomi Developers Conference. From what we know, the device will come with support for dual-mode 5G which includes SA and NSA mode. This would make it the first smartphone from Xiaomi to support dual-mode 5G.
From the listing of the device on 3C, we see that it will come with a charger having model number MDY-11-EF. It will come with support for 30W fast charging technology.
Xiaomi recently shared a partial image of the upcoming Redmi K30 device. From the image, we see a device with a pill-shaped cutout on the display. This cutout will house the phone’s dual front camera setup.
Considering the announcement by Lei Jun and the announcement by Lu Weibing, General Manager of the Redmi brand, we may get the Redmi K30 in December. However, the Pro version will likely only launch in 2020.
