Nokia 9 And X7 Front Panel Leaks Reveal Notch-less Display

Nokia 9 And X7 Front Panel Leaks Reveal Notch-less Display

HMD’s 2018 flagship, the Nokia 9, has been leaked in an image that revealed its front panel. Earlier this month, there was a leak that showed a penta-camera setup on the device. But so far, it has been a pretty mysterious device. The Nokia X7 is another pretty mysterious device which is believed to be powered by the Snapdragon 710.

Now, however, we have seen two photos that allegedly show the front glass panels of the Nokia 9 and the Nokia X7. So, we have a good idea of how both devices will look. A huge point to note is that the notch is nowhere to be seen on either device.

The leak of the Nokia 9 shows that the device has a very slim chin and side bezels. The upper bezel is just big enough to house the earpiece, the front camera, and the accompanying sensors. The absence of the notch is easily noticed on the leak.

Another leak showed a live image of the Nokia 9 with the back of the device on display. This leak showed a penta-lens camera setup just like earlier leaks. It also revealed that the Nokia 9 is expected to be powered by a non-removable 4,150mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Nokia X7 has slightly bigger bezels all-round. This is due to presumably being a less expensive device. It also lacks the notch which is now seen on very many new Android devices. Even the predecessors of the X7, the Nokia X5 and the Nokia X6 both have notches.

Previous leaks suggest that the Nokia 9 is expected to run Android Pie, as part of the Android One program. With a 6.01-inch display, it is expected to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Nokia 9 is expected to enjoy up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset.

The delay in the launch of the Nokia 9 is being blamed on production issues. But the device is expected to launch sometime this September.
