A lot has changed in smartphone technology in the past year alone, and we are very happy to be alive at such a time. One of the most interesting changes is one that has cut across both iOS and Android platforms, even with the flagship models, and that is not something we see every time.
If you have not already guessed it, we are talking about the notch technology. Now, today is not about how much the notch is great or how stylish we think it is. We believe the ship has sailed on that conversation since you have most probably either used or seen someone use a notched device.
What we would like to know, though, is your opinion on the different styles of the notch.
When this movement stared, it was on the iPhone X series which brought a broad notch housing the selfie camera, sensors and earpiece. As time went on, manufacturers started to get creative and we had the waterdrop style notch from the likes of Huawei.
We are now at the stage where some manufacturers are not even going for a notch anymore, choosing to put their selfie cameras in a motorized unit that pops up when you need it.
If you had to choose, which would you rather go for? The bigger notch, the waterdrop style, or none at all?
