Oppo has launched the latest K-series smartphone Oppo K5 in China, the device comes interesting features worth trying out. One of them is the on-screen fingerprint scanner although this is not the first time we’re seeing this feature on a mid-range smartphone

The device looks to compete the likes of Tecno Camon 12 Air and the Infinix Zero 6 in the mid-range market, it comes running the Android 9.0 with colorOS and it also has a planned upgrade to Android 10.

Oppo K5 sport a 6.4 AMOLED screen with the 19:9 aspect ratio, the screen resolution is set at 2340 by 1080 px with 403 pixels per-square inch.

On th inside, Oppo K5 is equipped with 6GB on a 128GB ROM for maximum storage capacity, there is also an 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM version and another version that comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM, the internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a micro SD card. The device treats you to a Meditek MT6762 with Octa-core 2.0 GHz processor.

The Oppo K5 phone comes with an outstanding quad (four) camera setup on the back that features a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP +2Mp cameras at the back with 64MP as it’s primary sensor. The camera system is supported by a ring flash for quality output.

For selfies, Oppo K5 features a 32MP front camera but there is no front flash for the front camera. The device uses an on-screen fingerprint scanner for more convenient unlocking of the device.

Oppo K5 is available in different finishes Gradient white, Gradient green and Gradient Blue colors, a non-removable 4000 mAh battery sits under the hood to keep the power going. The phone supports fast charge technology with VOOC Flash Charge 4.0.

Oppo K5 is yet to be available in both offline and online markets, price listed here is the official price but it can vary based on your location and the vendor you’re buying from. The 6GB + 128GB version of the Oppo K5 is price in Nigeria is around NGN 96,400 (roughly 268 USD), while the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at NGN 106,500 (about 296 US), the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at NGN126,700 (352 USD).
