Over the past couple of years, Oppo has been known for its innovations. Only recently, the company showcased an under-display front camera. This camera requires no notch or punch-hole to sit on the front of the device. Rather, it takes the form of the screen itself and only shows up when needed.
Now, the company has just revealed its new technology, a Waterfall screen. This screen has 88-degree curved edges and no buttons on the side. With very tiny bezels on the top and bottom, it nears 100% screen-to-body ratio.
Oppo VP Brian Shen shared images of this new technology on his personal Weibo profile. Shortly after he did that, various bloggers and media representatives also took to the social media to introduce the device with the technology to their various audiences.
We are yet to see the back of the device. However, we know that this new screen is narrower than the panel on the Oppo Find X.
Oppo will likely launch this device sporting the Waterfall technology sometime next year. We cannot wait to have a feel of the actual device.
