Oukitel smartphone company is a brand that is not only known with affordable and durable Android phones, they also follows trend. 3D and Infinity displays are the new trends in Android smartphones market and Oukitel is staying in the nick of things with their new Oukitel C8 and Oukitel Mix 2 budget phones.
Oukitel Mix 2 as the name may suggest to you, is a look-alike of the Xiaomi Mix 2 in display and design aspects. The Mix 2 from Oukitel crams a full HD screen with the same over 80% body-to-screen ratio as Xiaomi Mix 2. The front camera and LED flash on the two devices were re-positioned to the bottom bezel.
Oukitel released the Oukitel C8 ahead of the Mix 2 official announcement that is scheduled for October. The new C8 also comes with Infinity display, it is nicknamed “The next killer”. Oukitel C8 a mid-range Android smartphone with an incredible budget-friendly price tag.
Oukitel C8 and Oukitel Mix 2 few specs
Oukitel C8 sports a sleeker body design with more comfortable handling, thanks to its 18:9 screen ratio. Display is on a 5.5 inches HD screen, Android 7.0 Nougat is pre-installed. For internal storage, there is a 16GB storage space which you can expand to 64GB with SD card.
2GB RAM is on-board with a Mediatek MT6580A chipset, Oukitel C8 comes with 13 megapixels back camera with 5 megapixels front camera, both will host LED flash. It houses a 3000 mAh battery which is removable.

Oukitel Mix 2 on the other hand gets a 6GB RAM with 64GB for internal storage, this makes it the first smartphone to carry a 6GB RAM from the Chinese OEM. The Mix 2 device will come running on Android 7.0 Nougat, we are not sure of the installed chipset but a Helio P20 or X30 is expected from the revealed price tag.
Oukitel Mix 2 and C8 Pricing and availability
The Mix 2 from Oukitel will command a $299.99 price tag (roughly N110,000). For comparison, the Mix 2 from Xiaomi with the same 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM is selling for $649.99 (N237,250). Oukitel also said their own Mix 2 will carry bigger battery capacity than the one from Xiaomi.
Oukitel plans to make the C8 the best-selling smartphone with Infinity screen in the Android market, it will be sold for $59.99 (roughly N22,000) which makes it the cheapest or one of the cheapest among its colleague.
While Oukitel Mix 2 will be launched on October, Oukitel C8 is already listed on the brands website and available for pre-order through some online retail stores.
