With the Oukitel K6000 Plus being unveiled in a mobile tech show and also coming as a successor to a wonderful K6000 Pro, the device was sure to be nothing short of premium, sure it didn’t disappoint. In terms of design, there were not much difference between the device and it’s earlier counterpart, the fingerprint sensor was moved to the front panel to stay with the unprecedented home button, the navigation keys have been concealed and only visible upon touch making the front panel look less busy and more attractive.
Another major improvement in the design aspect was the idea of leaving the speaker grills at the bottom border next to the USB 2.0 port and the micro phone grill. That no withstanding, We will be unboxing the Oukitel K6000 Plus in a jiffy after which a full review of the device will follow, sure you wouldn’t want to miss it. Oukitel K6000 Plus Design and Impressions
Let’s now go into the design and impressions of the K6000 Plus device as we are done with the box components.
There’s a branded screen cover on the front panel, pilling it off revealed the Dragontrail 2.5D curved screen with another screen guard pre-installed.
At the back is another transparent sticker with some basic instructions, Tips and Warning write ups.
That will now leave you with a shiny, dust and fingerprint proof metal cover of the K6000 Plus, it felt really sleek at hand and unexpectedly light.
The front top bezel of the device is occupied by the 8MP camera, notification indicator LED and the proximity sensor, the notification indicator is not visible unless it blinks, we revealed more of that in the full review. The audio jack hole is alone at the top border of the phone.
The invisible navigation keys dominate the lower bezel, fingerprint sensor is embedded in the home button. The bottom border is a lot busier with the speaker grills, USB port and the microphone hole.
At the left side of the phone is the Nano SIM/Micro SD card tray, with the ejector pin, we conveniently opened the SIM/Memory card tray. The port can hold 2 Nano SIMs at the same time or a Micro SD card and one Nano SIM at a time.
The power button and volume adjusters are located at the left side.
The Oukitel K6000 Plus is priced within the range of ₦55,000 – ₦70,000 (170 USD)
Compared to some top Android phones in Nigeria today, the K6000 Plus is definitely outstanding, the design and build looked more prestigious. It is slightly slimmer than the K6000 Pro despite hosting a bigger battery of 6,080 mAh. I also found the inclusion of a clear rubber case and a spare screen guide particularly commendable too, Although there’s a screen guide pre-installed on the device. The absence of earpiece in the box was a little disappointing but nonetheless, what was your impression about the Oukitel K6000 Plus phone, drop your comments below.
