Realme shipped 25 million phones in 2019 and plans to double that figure in 2020

Realme has just announced the Realme X50 5G in an event in China today. The event also marked the arrival of the Realme Buds Air in the company’s domestic market.

One main highlight of the event was when Sky Li, Realme founder and CEO, revealed that the company plans to ship twice as many phones this year as it did last year. What makes this interesting is that Realme shipped 25 million phones last year. So, what Li meant was that the company would ship 50 million units in 2020.

Of course, for Realme to achieve this, it has to introduce phones with impressive specs. Even with the impressive specs, this phone will need to come with aggressive prices. The pricing is especially important considering what other brands like Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi offer.

We can only wait to see how Realme intends to achieve this plan.
