Samsung begins early rollout of Android Pie to Galaxy M units

Samsung has promised the users of Galaxy M units that they would be getting a taste of the Android Pie as from June, but it seems the South Korean OEM is serving an early dessert to some users.

The phone might be an entry-level device, but Samsung is keeping to their word with the Android Pie upgrade.

From those who have gotten the notification, it is stated that this update weighs 1.14GB, comes with the Android security patch for the month of May and packs Samsung’s One UI with it.

If you haven’t heard about One UI, it is one of the biggest revamps in user interface that Samsung has done over the years. We especially love the fact that this design language makes things simpler, flatter and neater, supporting one-handed handling of Samsung units in the same breath.

Following that, users of the Galaxy M units will now get access to the new dark mode (system wide) as well as new Bixby routines.

Note that this early update is being reported by Galaxy M30 users, so you might want to check if you have the same unit.
