Samsung Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge starts getting Oreo update

After updating their previous flagship units with the latest Android 8 Oreo, Samsung promised to rollout the same software to both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. They made this promise many times and still did not do anything in that regards. In what has nearly become embarrassing for the South Korean OEM, they have now started pushing out the said software to these units.

The update started hitting devices in the UK first, according to reports. Not long after, it also started getting onto those units in the European markets too.

Since this is an OTA update, we expect that it hits different regions at different times. If you are yet to get yours, you should sit tight and wait for the notification to get to your unit. In as much as the next couple of days, you are sure to be on the 1274.28MB-heavy Oreo table too.

PS If you ordered your unit from any of the regions that have started getting the update, you should watch your unit too as you would be getting the same bump with them, and at the same time.
