Samsung has started rolling out Android Pie updates to the Galaxy On7 Prime

The Galaxy On series were once a hot project from Samsung, but they have since cancelled on that in favour of other ventures. However, that does not mean the South Korean OEM has forgotten about all the loyal fans who decided to give this unit a shot.

It is to that effect that they pushed out the Android 9 Pie update to the Galaxy On7 Prime. Of course, this is coming some nine months too late, but we believe it is better late than never.

Users of the On7 Prime will be happy to know that this upgrade also comes with a bump to the all-new One UI interface from Samsung.

If you are planning on getting this update, make sure you are connected to a WIFI network. At 1GB, the update is just heavy enough. Considering the fact that it still packs the security patch for the month of May, that size is justified.

Should you have this unit currently, we advise that you wait till you get the notification to update on your unit. Alternatively, you can head over to your device settings to manually request the update. If it’s available for your region, you should have it instantly.
