After quite a long wait and many leaks, we finally have the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series. Yesterday, Samsung officially released the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+.
The Galaxy Note 10 comes with a 6.3-inch panel, smaller than the Galaxy S10+. The Note 10+, on the other hand, sports a massive 6.8-inch panel. So, you basically get all the screen you need.
As with prior devices in the Note series, one of the trademark features is the S Pen. The S Pen on the Galaxy Note 10 series includes new features. Samsung added an accelerometer and a gyroscope to it, meaning you can use it as a motion controller. The company is also opening up the Air Actions SDK, so app and game developers can use it in new, creative ways.
As usual, there will be two different chipsets for different regions. There is the new Exynos 9825 and there is the Snapdragon 855 chipset.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ Displays
Even though the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ come with the same sized S Pen, they have different displays to use the pen on. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 sports a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p+ and 401ppi. The Galaxy Note 10+, on the other hand, sports a bigger 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel with 1440+ resolution and 498+ ppi.
On both devices, there is a centred punch-hole. This houses the selfie shooter.
Both the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ displays support HDR10+ and Dynamic Tone Mapping. This allows for great image quality on both devices, regardless of content.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ Cameras
Both the Galaxy Note 10 series phones feature a triple-camera setup. The main camera is a 12MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4). The devices also have a 12MP telephoto camera with OIS. The third camera is a 16MP 123-degree ultra wide-angle 16MP shooter.
On the Galaxy Note 10+, there is also a 3D ToF sensor. The 3D scanner app uses this to create 3D models of real-life objects. It can scan objects as large as 80 x 80 x 80cm.
For selfie lovers, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series phones come with a 10MP selfie camera. It has an 80-degree lens and autofocus and is located in the punch hole on the display.
The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ can record 4K videos. They offer an improved version of the Super Steady feature. They also come with a more advanced video editor. Using the S Pen, you can perform selecting and trimming actions quickly. If you need more advanced editing features, you can get the Note-friendly version of Adobe Premier Rush which is available for free.
Both devices come in LTE and 5G versions. However, the 5G versions will likely have limited availability for now as most carriers do not support it yet.
On the storage front, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ come with ample storage. The base internal storage is 256GB, and 512GB versions are also available. The Note 10 has 8GB of RAM as standard and 12GB of RAM on the 5G variant. The Note 10+, however, has a RAM of 12GB across board. It supports the use of an external memory card up to 1TB. This card uses the hybrid slot on the dual-SIM version.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ Battery
What is the point of a phone with amazing features if it dows not have a powerful battery, right? The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 comes with a 3,500mAh battery with 25W charging. The Plus model comes with a larger battery of 4,300mAh with support for 25W charging. However, you only get a 25W charger in the box, so you will have to get the 45W charger separately.
Both the Note 10 and the Note 10+ support fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. This means that you can actually use them to top up accessories like Galaxy Watches and Galaxy Buds.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ Audio
