Last week, we talked about Samsung’s new flip phone – the W2019. Now, as expected, Samsung unveiled this flagship device on Friday, November 9. Before this unveiling, there were already lots of leaks and rumors about the device. It is now official but will be exclusive to China through China Unicorn.
The Samsung W2019 features two 4.2-inch S-AMOLED displays – one on the inside of the device and one on the outside. These displays both have Full HD resolution at 1920×1080 pixels. They are basically identical.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. It has a RAM of 6GB and comes in two internal storage variants – 128GB and 256GB, both of which are expandable via a microSD card.
The phone has a dual 12MP camera setup for taking pictures. The main shooter has a variable f/1.5 – f/2.4 aperture while the secondary shooter has an f/2.4 aperture. It has features like OIS and 2X optical zoom.
Taking juice from a 3,070mAh battery, the Samsung W2019 runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top.
The standard 128GB model of the Samsung W2019 has a price tag of 18,999 Yuan, which is roughly 995,000 Naira. That is a huge amount for a single device. Are you willing to pay for it?
