The Tecno Camon C10 -also known Tecno Camon CX– has been on the wait list of many after the unexpected high price tag of the 2016 flagship device –Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus– left a lot of Tecno fans disappointed. According to a reliable source, the Chinese base company -Tecno- is planning a minor shake-over, the company is rumored to release only three flagship smartphones in 2017, instead of the annual four flagship devices we have seen in the previous years.

However, the decision is to be in line with the brand’s move to improve its rank and global strategy, after finding there way into the Middle East and South American markets in the fourth quarter of 2016. Perhaps, Tecno is yet to release any official statement to support this claim.

Tecno Camon CX will carry a full metal body, it will also boot the latest Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. it will obviously become the first device from Tecno to run the Android Nougat. The user interface is customized with HiOS 2.0. Tecno is reportedly planning on providing an Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade for Camon C9 users.

Sources revealed that the Tecno Camon CX will sport a 5.5 inches full HD display with a 2.5D curved glass, Under the hood is a mediaTek (MTK) Helio P10 Octa-core 64-bit Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.5 GHZ. This processor is supported by a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage space is provided. If you’re a heavy user, there is also a 3GB RAM version as well to give you lag-free multi-tasking experience.

The device will support dual SIM with dual standby, 4G LTE network support, storage expandability support via MicroSD up to 128GB and to crown it all, Tecno Camon CX will host a Fingerprint scanner which is placed at the back below the camera region. The Camon C9 was first reported to come with this feature (Fingerprint sensor) but it turned out to be just rumors, we hope it won’t be the same with the C10 device.

At the Power department, Tecno Camon CX will house a 3200 mAh Li-Polymer battery which is said to feature a light speed charge, The Chinese OEM is saying that an hour charge of the Tecno Camon C10 can give you up to 70% of battery juice and also, 10 minutes of charge can standby for a whole day. The device is also said to have a super screenshot, not really sure what this feature is all about but it sounds a bit interesting.

Tecno Camon CX is expected to be available in 22 countries across Africa, including Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Cameroon, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, among others. It will also launch in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The retail price of the Tecno Camon CX starts from about NGN 70,000 (about USD 218.75).
