Tecno Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 plus specs and features to expect

Tecno Phantom 6 Plus

As we wait for Tecno to make some official announcements in mid September on what should be its next flagship device, we have seen lots of speculations and teasing pictures revealing what the Tecno Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus would look like both on the outside and inside.

This time around, the Tecno Phantom 6 is teased to be the slimmest phone Tecno ever made with just 4.69 mm thick.

We were left wondering if Tecno could achieve that with the TECNO Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 plus given that the device has been rumored to host a 4,050 mAh battery capacity.

I’m quite sure Tecno understands that its buyers can’t trade a good battery life for a wonderful design, no body would like to have a slim and sleek phone with poor talk time or standby. Most users especially in African countries, want a phone that fits comfortably in the palm of their hands or slips easily into their pockets and at the same time not having to worry about its battery life.

Still on design aspect, The round edges in the Tecno Phantom 6 device is looking more solid, more like a hammer on the nail head. A slim metal border should be there to compliment the metal unbody. Overall design in the Phantom device is quite impressive if we should go by the teaser pictures.

Tecno Phantom 6 being the base version is expected to have a 5.5 inches display while the Phantom 6 plus carries a larger display of 6.0 inches. The screen will definitely be in full HD resolution and will have a protection against scratches.

The Phantom 6 phones will have a fingerprint scanner at the back just like the former Tecno’s flagship device, Tecno Phantom 5.

For internals, there are some unconfirmed rumors that the Phantom 6 and 6 Plus will come running the Android 7.0 Nougat which is the newest version of the Android operating system at the moment, even if that happens to be just rumor, the devices won’t come with anything later than Android 6.0 marshmallow and will probably have the Tecno’s HIOS on top.

The two variants will be having a share of 32GB, 3GB and probably 64GB, 4GB for internal storage and RAM respectively.

We will be waiting on the launch but if we are to go by some unofficial online specs, rumours, and the trending teaser pictures, then you can well say the Phantom 6 will be the slimmest smart phone after it’s launch, even without hardware compromises.

The device is rumoured to be “as slim as an envelope” with a 4050 mAh-battery capacity and dual cameras, which are rare and commendable and are only seen in high-end phones in recent times. Last Year’s Phantom 5 was considered as overpriced by quite a large number of people so we hope for a more modest price for the Phantom 6 phones.

UPDATE: the Phantom 6 devices will be launched on 25th September, see more details and venue here.

Who else is eager to see how Tecno will go about achieving this groundbreaking milestone? Do you think these are just hypes and they can’t come up with a device like that? Drop your comments in the comment section, human beings always have an opinion.
