Conclusion

The two smartphones here are really worth all the hype they have gotten in the past, their designs are quite trendy and they sport an up to date Android operating system out of the box.

It all comes down to what you want in a smartphone. The on-screen fingerprint scanner remains in top list of things I’d love to check in a smartphone so I’m going with the Tecno Phantom 9 although it is slightly more expensive What is your own verdict of the phones and choice? Let us know in the comment section.

Other Phones to Consider

Oppo K5 is another great mid-ranger with 19:9 aspect ratio, four cameras and the on-screen fingerprint technology. If require something more premium from these two brands, you might want to check out some of their phones: Tecno Camon 12 Air, Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus, Infinix Hot 8 and Infinix Zero 6.

  • Nothing is tough to be decided here…
Before buying a phone, refer to the reviews and compare things like the chipset, the refresh rates, chipset frequency, no of System update.
Don’t focus over the camera or screen inches….. Those are important Yes… But the first ones determines how long your phone is going to last before being needed to be replaced due to sluggishness, provided you don’t break/brick it.
    Now that’s being said….
1 – Tecno Phantom 9 is slow right out of the box. this is unnoticable to the normal person eye, but to those used to flagships and good mid-range ones, it’s pretty obvious. And everything is sometimes in the boot time.
2 – The Under-Screen finger print scanner is slow on the Tecno. So on the long run, you’ll wanna avoid that kind of Security cause it won’t help with the sluggishness.

3 – According to people who’d use it and tech. reviewers, it’s not worth the hype.

    For Infinix…
If you want to go for this Sub-brand (Cause yes, Itel, Tecno and Infinix are all brands belonging to Transsion Mobile), better go for the Note Series or the Zero Ones.
and I would have given a shot to the Infinix Note 6 because I’d use a Note 3, and it’s been 2 years. If not thanks to those guys on scooter who tried to snatch my phone, it’ll would have still been in good condition.
    Only Issues i got were
    – Apps got heavier to manage, so despite the 3Gb of RAM, it could freeze for 1 minute due to many apps in Background.

Personnally i’ll wait for a proper Note or Zero Version with at least a Snapdragon 750+ Chipset before buying it again, so as to experience a proper upgrade.

  • well phantom 9 has the onscreen finger print as stated above which gives it more hype. Phantom 9 will serve more
