Upcoming Galaxy A55 Spotted Ahead of the Official Launch in India

A new revelation by a Belgian telecom has unveiled the Galaxy A55 ahead of its official release alongside the Galaxy A35 on March 11. The telecom’s website listed the device complete with a detailed specification sheet and several official images, providing an inadvertent yet authoritative sneak peek into the upcoming smartphone.

While many of the Galaxy A55’s features were previously speculated, the telecom’s listing serves as a solid confirmation. The smartphone operates on the Exynos 1480 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. There’s speculation that the RAM might be expandable up to 12GB, and storage is further expandable via a microSD card up to 1TB.

The screen size sees a slight increase from its predecessor, the A54, boasting a 6.6-inch OLED display with a punch-hole design centered at the top for the selfie camera.

In terms of photography, the Galaxy A55 continues with the same rear camera configuration as the Galaxy A54, featuring a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro sensor. The front-facing camera gets a 32MP sensor designed for high-quality selfies.

Battery capacity remains at 5,000 mAh, ensuring extended usage, and the device comes with Android 14 right out of the box, promising users the latest in smartphone operating systems.

Despite the leak, the upcoming Samsung event where the Galaxy A55 will be officially unveiled still holds interest, particularly regarding the announcement of the device’s pricing. Further details on this aspect are eagerly awaited.
