The Vivo Nex 3 smartphone will get official next month. As it happens with the official announcement of many other phones, there have been rumours and leaks surrounding the launch.
In fact, even Vivo’s teaser campaign has virtually turned into a hype-driving endeavour. Earlier, we have seen an official teaser video. But now, Vivo has taken the campaign a step further. The Chinese company gave a unit of the Nex 3 to Arun Maini, the guy who runs the YouTube channel Mrwhosetheboss.
In the unboxing video of the Vivo Nex 3, we catch a glimpse of the screen but do not get the specifications list. The device has very tiny bezels on all sides and no notch. However, the very interesting part of the display is the “waterfall” effect, similar to what Oppo recently revealed. In fact, the Nex 3’s display is so curved that if you look at it from a side, you will see much more “screen” than you would in almost any other device.
Also noticeable on the Vivo Nex 3 is the fact that there are no buttons. Instead, there is a specific ridged area on the right that kind of serves as the power ‘key’. To the top and bottom of this ‘key’ are ridges that serve as the volume ‘keys’. However, for some reason, there is a secondary power button.
The Vivo Nex 3 has a glass back that houses a new camera system in a circular island. Right under this camera setup sits an LED flash. The only details we got about the camera are that they are “different” and “exciting”.
The device supports 5G, and Vivo was sure to talk so much about this in the video. We hope you are as excited as Vivo is about this.
Oh, one more thing – the Vivo Nex 3 comes with a headphone jack. This is definitely good news to the headphone jack “activists”.
While we await the launch of the Vivo Nex 3 next month, we will keep you updated with whatever new information we get about it.
