Vivo recently launched the Vivo S5. Now, the company has officially announced the launch of the latest version of the device. This new version, a Phantom Blue color variant, is now available in China. It has a price tag of 2,698 Yuan (about 139,000 Naira).
The Vivo S5 sports a diamond-shaped camera setup on the rear. Vivo has disclosed that this setup was an inspiration from classic architecture and precious artworks. On the front of the device, we see a small punch-hole camera design. This punch-hole is reportedly the smallest of any smartphone yet. It has a diameter of 2.98mm.
The Vivo S5’s display has a brightness of 800 nits that peaks at 1200 nits. This makes it one of the brightest displays of any smartphone. You can actually see the screen even under strong light. With this screen brightness, the phone also features a global eye protection mode. This mode reduces blue light by 61%.
Sporting a 6.44-inch AMOLED display, the Vivo S5 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC. It enjoys up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the device sports a triple-camera setup including a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Sitting pretty in the punch-hole on the front of the device is a 32MP selfie camera.
All of these features are powered by a 4,100mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging.
