The Xiaomi Mi 6 has become the first Xiaomi phone to receive a stable version of MIUI 10 in China. Even now, this new software is not yet available to all users of the Mi 6. It is currently only limited to a select batch of users of the device who have been using it in Beta. It is expected that more users will get this stable update in due time.
Even though Xiaomi is yet to announce a time frame, a global rollout of the stable update is expected soon. With the MIUI 10 Beta, global users got it only a week after it was announced in China. If that is anything to go by, then the stable update will probably be rolled out to global users within a week.
So far, the Mi 6 is the only phone receiving the stable MIUI 10 update. It is not yet clear when other Xiaomi devices will get it.
On Xiaomi’s official Mi forum, the Chinese smartphone giant had this to say about the update:
This update is being pushed to random users as OTA. So, many users might not get this update. If you dont get this update, please don’t get worried. You will surely receive the update after the public release of this ROM. V10.0.1.0.OCACNFH is a MIUI China Stable ROM update. So, if you’re using Global Stable, Global Beta or China Developer ROM, you won’t receive this update. Only China Stable ROM users may receive this Beta Stable update.
MIUI 10 offers a new look as well as lots of machine learning and AI smarts, different from last year’s MIUI 9 which was focused on offering fast app launch times. Using artificial intelligence, it lets you create awesome portraits with beautiful bokeh effects.
Xiaomi has revealed that MIUI 10 will study your behavior and anticipating actions, and use these to reduce load times to zero. It is based on Android 8 Oreo.
Global users of Xiaomi Mi 6 should probably expect this stable update within the next week.
