Xiaomi is not a newcomer in the smartphone market, and they have been churning out phones of late. Earlier this year, the Chinese company launched the Xiaomi Mi 9. Now, we have seen the 5G version of the device on TENAA.
The Xiaomi Mi 9S (5G)’s appearance on TENAA has confirmed some of the rumours that have been flying. However, you should note that even these are just preliminary details.
According to the TENAA data, the Xiaomi Mi 9S (5G) will come with a 6.39″ screen. It will be 8.95mm thick, slightly thicker than the original Xiaomi Mi 9 at 7.6mm.
Also, the Mi 9S (5G) will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery, an improvement over the 3,300mAh battery of the Xiaomi Mi 9. The device should support 45W fast charging, also beating the 27W of the Mi 9.
The Xiaomi Mi 9S (5G) is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ chipset. Xiaomi will also reportedly add Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) to the main camera on the rear.
We expect the Mi 9S (5G) to have a dual SIM card slot with dual standby, just like the Mi Mix 3 (5G).
According to a post by China Unicom, this new device will be released in September.
