At the time when Xiaomi launched their first Mi Max phone with a massive 6.44-inch screen, they were truly testing a new wave of units then. Two years on and they have launched the second installation of this unit. That is why we are here to announce the unveiling of a 6.9-inch Xiaomi Mi Max 3.
Like the rest of the phone that the Asian OEM has launched this year, this one also comes with the new 18:9 screen aspect ratio. The same screen material is rated at FHD+ and at a resolution of 2160 x 1080. There is a neat arrangement of the antenna bands on the back but that is not the impressive feature on this rear panel.
The most impressive thing there has to be the inclusion of a dual camera unit – one held at 12MP with the other maintained at 5MP. For better rounding up of the camera section, they have allowed an 8MP snapper to sit comfortably on the front.
Inside is a QUALCOMM Snapdragon 636 chipset which is married to either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The models will also take on 64GB and 128GB of internal storage space respectively. No matter which one you get though, a 5500mAh battery is yours for the taking. Running on the Android 8.1 Oreo platform, the phone is limited to China for now but expected to go international in the coming weeks.
