Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 6 Pro has now gone official as the company unveiled the device in Thailand. This comes only weeks after the launch of the Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6 Pro.

Sporting a 6.26-inch FHD+ IPS LCD (1080 x 2280 pixels) notched display with an aspect ratio of 19:9, the device has a screen-to-body ratio of 86 percent. It is the first Note series phone from Xiaomi to come with a notch above the display. The Redmi Note 6 Pro’s screen is protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass.

Internally, this device is powered by the Snapdragon 636 SoC. This is the same chipset that powers the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It comes in only one storage variant with a RAM of 4GB and an internal storage of 64GB, expandable via a microSD card. The Redmi Note 6 Pro runs on Android Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9 on top.

Talking about optics, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 12MP+5MP dual camera setup on the rear. This is identical to the Redmi Note 5 Pro but the Note 6 Pro has larger pixels with a brighter f/1.9 aperture and Dual Pixel AF.
