Xiaomi is really working hard towards the launch of their Mi 6X unit which is set to take the baton from the mid-range Mi 5X from last year. While there have been a number of leaks and reports to speculate what and what not to expect from this unit, the company has taken to Weibo to leak a photo of the smartphone themselves.
From the leak, the first thing that caught our attention was the beautiful, blue paintjob on the cover. If anything, that confirms we are getting a blue colour option for the device. Looking closely at the image, it is now all but confirmed that we are getting a 20MP snapper on the front and back of the device. Talk about massive cameras, yeah?
The dual camera setup on the back is almost like that of the iPhone X. Not that we mind though. Likewise, the image of the back seems to suggest that Xiaomi went premium and used a metal finish instead.
That is one thing we are sure to love on this device. Finally, visible on the backside is a fingerprint sensor for added security. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm from this image if Face ID will truly come on board.
If, like us, you are also looking forward to the launch of the next Xiaomi midrange device, you should save the date for April 25 as that is when the event happens in China.
