Xiaomi’s gamer-centric phone to be launched on 13th April

Black Shark – a company backed by Xiaomi – has been working on a gamer phone for a while now and we know when it will launch. From the press invites sent out, the device will be officially unveiled n the 13th of April. While we might not know so much of this unit yet, we do know that it would be heavily focused on the gaming smartphone market. Likewise, it is unlikely to carry the Xiaomi branding.

On the invite is also Qualcomm’s logo, fuelling speculations that we will see one chipset from this company under the hood of the upcoming unit. If we were to make a wild guess, we would say the chipset would be the Snapdragon 845. At least, that would be what one would expect of a new phone that promises to change the way of mobile gaming.

Other specs expected are 6 – 8GB of RAM, a massive internal storage space that starts from 64GB and 120Hz display. Beyond that, we don’t have any more to say.

We should let you know that if you had been planning to buy the Razer smartphone (another awesome gaming device), you could want to hold off a little. Xiaomi is sure to bring quality, but what they will also bring is an aggressive pricing plan. Expect Black Shark’s release to be much cheaper and maybe even better. Don’t say we never did anything for you
