ZTE files patent for a smartphone with dual selfie camera and slider design

ZTE patents smartphone with dual selfie cameras and slider design

ZTE has just filed a patent for a smartphone with two selfie cameras and a slider design. This comes after the Chinese phone maker filed a patent for a smartphone with dual punch-hole cameras last month.

This dual selfie camera and slider design setup works in such a way that the selfie cameras are hidden. You reveal the selfie cameras by sliding down on the screen. When you slide up, what looks like a speaker grille appears.

On the rear of the device, you will find a dual-camera setup. The cameras are arranged vertically on the top-left corner. The flash is right below the cameras. Going further down, you will find an oval-shaped fingerprint sensor towards the centre.

On the right side, you will find the power button and volume rocker. The left side holds the SIM card slot. There is a headphone jack at the top. The USB-C port and primary microphone are at the bottom.

As at this moment, all we have is the design. We do not yet know ZTE’s plans towards making it a reality. We may get a smartphone with the design soon or it may just remain on paper. The former kind of sounds better.
