Google Pixel 4 XL

google pixel 4 xl featured image

Google Pixel 4 XL is probably the bigger variant of the newly launched Pixel 4 smartphones, it is bigger in size and also bigger in terms of technical specifications but no much difference. The two Pixel Smartphones from Google were unveiled the latest Android 10 operating system which is not much of a surprise.

The Google Pixel 4 XL design is quite sleek, although some will argue that the design was curled from the iPhone 11 device. The back of the device is plain with no fingerprint scanner on the phone, we really expected an on-screen fingerprint scanner, lets have a good review of the phone and see all what it has to offer.

Google Pixel 4 XL Features Overview

Google Pixel 4 XL flaunts a bigger 6.3 inches P-OLED display with no notch design, the display uses the corning gorilla glass 5 for protection and features DCI-P3 100%, HDR and always on display.

The Pixel 4 XL is looking elegant with the 19:9 aspect ratio plan, making it fit even bigger screens into smaller hands. The screen resolution is set at 3040 by 1440 px with 537 pixels per-square inch which will provide an exceptional viewing experience.

Covering the device is a well finished corning gorilla 5 and an aluminium border to match. This gives the device a more premium feel and look, it is also water and dust resistant with IP68 certified.

Google Pixel 4 XL uses a 6GB RAM slapped on a 64GB ROM for a sufficient storage capacity, there is also a 128GB ROM version of the device that also uses a 6GB RAM. Unfortunately, the internal storage cannot be expanded as there is no micro SD card space on the phone. The device treats you to a Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 chipset  with Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 485 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 485 & 4×1.78 GHz Kryo 485) processor.

The Google Pixel 4 XL comes with a dual camera setup on the back that sees a 12.2MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture and 16MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture, the two sensors combine to deliver optimum camera exposure and depth effects. The camera system is supported by a ring flash for quality output.

For selfies, Google Pixel 4 XL is equipped an 8MP front camera that has an aperture size of f/2.0 with no front flash. The front camera of the device also serves as face unlocking sensor for more convenient unlocking of the phone and adequate security features as there is no fingerprint scanner.
