Pova 8 Pro leans bright-screen gaming midrange: a 6.78-inch AMOLED with 144Hz, HDR, up to 1600 nits HBM and a wild 4500-nit peak claim, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. An under-display optical fingerprint unlocks the phone, and the back carries a matrix light panel on an IP68/IP69K body that weighs about 189g at 7.4mm.
Arc White, Graphite Black, Tundra Green, and Tonino Lamborghini Black are the color cuts. Inside is a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate on Android 16 / HIOS 16, with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage, stereo Dolby Atmos speakers, NFC, infrared, and Wi-Fi 6.

Pova 8 Pro 5G comes with a 6.78 inches AMOLED display screen making use of up to 1B colors, 144Hz max refresh rate, 2592Hz PWM max refresh rate, and 4500 nits (peak) brightness with a resolution of 1208 x 2644 pixels and flaunting roughly 429 in pixel density.
On the inside is a Mediatek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate (4 nm) chipset with Octa-core (4×2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G is running the Android 16 that uses the HIOS 16 skin out of the box.
Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G shipped in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage space to go with. The available storage is expandable via a microSD card slot if you need more storage space.
Video is listed on both the dual rear setup and the 13MP front without a flashy 4K headline on the summary sheet, so treat clips as solid 1080-class social capture until local samples prove otherwise.
Still photography pairs a 50MP f/1.8 wide with dual-pixel PDAF and OIS plus an 8MP ultrawide. Daylight and stabilized handheld shots should be the strong suit; ultrawide is for group and landscape context, not flagship edges.
A 6,500mAh cell with 45W wired charging (about 50% in 27 minutes, full in about 60 on Tecno’s claim), 10W reverse wired, and bypass charging fits long game sessions. Bypass is the quiet hero if you charge while playing.
Pova 8 Pro 5G Price in Nigeria
The source has not pinned a single global sticker in EUR on the sheet we pulled. Expect midrange Camon-adjacent money in Nigeria, and weigh the Lamborghini Black cut carefully before paying a fashion premium over Graphite Black.
Camon 50 Ultra shares the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate idea with a triple camera and 4K video. Camon 50 Pro is the closer camera sibling. If you mainly want battery and 5G without AMOLED, Spark 50 is cheaper and simpler.
For more choices in this category, the Poco F9 Pro 5G from Xiaomi’s lineup remains a top choice to explore. Also check out the Tecno Spark 50 Pro and Vivo iQOO 15; they offer great value for their price tags.
